Apartment Therapy: Lydia Mack tried it to rinse her older dog’s paws after New York City winter walks (review November 2020). She was surprised how dirty the water got from a quick dip, her dog did not run off the way she does when booties come out, and she went on to use it year round, with warm water in winter and cool water in summer.

TTPM: TTPM’s editors tried it with TTPM dogs Lexi, Piper and Dex (review February 2022). Two accepted it without fuss and one needed some convincing; it cleaned their paws well, but they note you still need a towel to dry each paw. The MudBuster comes apart into three parts (cap, silicone bristle insert and cup) for cleaning.
