What reviewers say
Consumer Reports: Writer Debbie Wolfe, who has two dogs of her own, evaluated three scoopers for Consumer Reports (first published August 2024, updated January 2026), and Consumer Reports named the Swivel Bin and Rake its Editor’s Choice. In a TV segment on Consumer Reports’ picks (NewsChannel 5, November 2024), vet technician Lauren Anthony said it suits large dogs or multi-dog homes, scoops straight into the bin and dumps into the trash, and gets the job done if you go a few days without picking up the yard. The full Consumer Reports test notes are for members only.
We did not test it ourselves.
Pros
- Consumer Reports’ Editor’s Choice
- Swivel bin empties without touching the waste
- Light, with an adjustable handle
Cons
- Shorter handle (32 in) than the Pawler set (36 in or more), going by the makers’ figures
- Full Consumer Reports test notes are behind a paywall
Good to know
- Wash your hands after handling pet waste, even if you use a scooper or bag, as the CDC advises (https://www.cdc.gov/healthy-pets/about/dogs.html).
