  • Break-away safety buckle with three variable load settings that break open under enough strain from your cat (Rogz)
  • D-ring for an ID tag and a bell to warn birds (Rogz)

What reviewers say

Cats.com: Writer Liz Coleman tested it for Cats.com’s cat collar guide (updated April 2026) and named it the best glow-in-the-dark collar. After holding it under a light for 30 seconds, she found it glowed brightly in the dark. She said the buckle is what sets it apart, with a sensitivity setting based on your cat’s weight, and found it soft, solid and durable. Cats.com notes it adjusts from 8 to 12 inches, so it might not be small enough for very young kittens.

We did not test it ourselves.

Pros

  • Glows and reflects, per Cats.com’s test
  • You choose how easily the buckle opens
  • D-ring for an ID tag

Cons

  • Might be too big for very young kittens, per Cats.com
  • Rogz does not list sizes on its own page

Good to know

  • Fit it so you can slide two fingers under the collar, as Cats Protection advises (https://www.cats.org.uk/help-and-advice/caring-for-your-cat/choosing-a-cat-collar).
  • Do not set the buckle so firm that it will not open if your cat gets caught; PDSA says to check that a quick release opens without your cat struggling (https://www.pdsa.org.uk/pet-help-and-advice/looking-after-your-pet/kittens-cats/cat-collars).
  • If you see rubbing, hair loss or a wound under the collar, take it off and see your vet.
