What reviewers say

Rover: Rover’s tester tried the lavender wipes on Remy, one of its test dogs, for its dog wipes test (first published February 2022, updated March 2025) and named them the best scented dog wipe. She found them gentle on Remy’s paws and backside, tough on mud and grime, and liked the subtle lavender smell. Rover lists them for paws, bodies and rears, not for ears, eyes or cats.

We did not test it ourselves.

Pros

• Thick wipe that handled mud in Rover’s test
• Unscented option
• Choice of pack sizes

Cons

• Rover says not for use around the ears and eyes, while the maker lists gentle outer ear cleaning; follow the pack
• Dogs only

Good to know

• Made for dogs. Cats are especially sensitive to essential oils, per the ASPCA, so use a wipe labeled for cats on a cat.
• After winter walks the ASPCA advises washing and drying your dog’s feet to remove ice, salt and chemicals, and checking for cracked pads or redness between the toes (https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/general-pet-care/cold-weather-safety-tips).
• If the paws look sore, cracked or red, see your vet.
