Modkat Flip Covered Litter Box, Front Entry, White

The Modkat Flip is a covered, front-entry litter box with a magnetic lid that sits closed, flips halfway for scooping or opens fully for litter changes. It comes with a reusable liner, hanging scoop and charcoal filters.

What reviewers say

Reviewed listed it among its best litter boxes for the adjustable lid, washable liner and high sides. PetsRadar called it a good fit for messy cats and high sprayers, liked the seamless base and liner life, and noted the scoop does not handle wood or large-pellet litters well.

Pros and cons

• Pro: Lid flips halfway, so daily scooping does not mean removing a hood
• Pro: Seamless base helps with leaks and high spraying
• Pro: Reusable liner and charcoal filters included
• Pro: Clean modern look
• Con: Costs much more than a basic hooded pan
• Con: Some reviews say cats over about 16 lb may find it snug
• Con: Included scoop works poorly with pellet or wood litters, per PetsRadar
• Con: Replacement liners and filters are an ongoing cost

Cautions

• Switch to a covered box gradually and keep the old box out at first.
• Scoop daily, since hoods can hold odor inside for your cat.
