What reviewers say
Treeline Review: Jae Thomas tested it for Treeline Review (updated August 2026) and named it best for fast location updates, a middle ground between the cellular trackers and the radio-based Garmin Alpha T 20. Thomas liked the very fast updates, the beacon light and that it fits one-inch prong and hole collars. The battery is short next to the clip-on trackers, it needs a separate clip to charge, it has no health tracking, and it does not fit plastic buckle collars. Treeline Review does not say whether the unit was a maker sample.
We did not test it ourselves.
Pros
- Very fast location updates
- Works with Garmin handhelds too
- Built-in lights
Cons
- Subscription required
- Battery measured in hours, not weeks
- Does not fit plastic buckle collars, per Treeline Review
Good to know
- Charge it before every outing; battery life drops at faster update rates (Garmin).
- It needs LTE coverage unless paired with a Garmin radio system; keep an ID tag on your dog.
- Check the collar fit and skin after long days out; ask your vet about any sores.
