What reviewers say
Treeline Review: Jae Thomas, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, tested camping dog beds for Treeline Review with three dogs on car camping trips and dog friendly outings, plus abrasion and water spray tests (published 6 August 2026, updated 25 August 2026). The article does not say how the beds were obtained. This was the best foldable pick. The tester found it simple to set up and take down and very sturdy, and noted that a raised bed stays cleaner than one laid on the ground. It is heavy and bulky even folded, too big for most tents, and a dog has to be comfortable jumping up and down to use it. The tester spot cleaned it; the maker lists the cover as machine washable.
We did not test it ourselves.
Pros
- Raised and padded, with back and sides
- 175 lb capacity
- Folds like a camp chair, carry bag included
- Best foldable pick in a dog trainer’s hands-on test
Cons
- 13 lb and bulky when folded
- Too big for most tents
- Dog has to jump up and down
Good to know
- Your dog has to jump onto it. For a puppy, an older dog or a dog with sore joints, ask your vet before you rely on a raised bed.
- Follow the maker’s care notes for the cover; the tester spot cleaned the frame and pad.
