What reviewers say
Treeline Review: Jae Thomas, a certified professional dog trainer, carried six kits on hikes, road trips and dog sport events with her two dogs (guide dated September 2026). She rated the Kurgo case among the best she tried: compact, well organized inside and easy to mount on a pack or harness with its MOLLE panels. She found the contents weaker than rival kits: plenty of gauze, but no styptic powder, no medication, no muzzle and no leash, and some odd extras such as paracord and wooden tongue depressors.
We did not test it ourselves.
Pros
- Compact, durable, well organized case
- MOLLE panels for a harness, belt or pack
- Plenty of gauze
Cons
- No slip lead or muzzle
- No styptic product
- Some filler items
Good to know
- Add the items your vet suggests for your dog, and never give human medicine unless your vet tells you to.
- A kit is for small problems on the way to help. For any serious injury, call your vet or an emergency clinic at once.
