Key facts

• 62 x 16 inches; weighs 10 lb (PetSafe)
• Independently tested and rated to support pets up to 150 lb (PetSafe)
• High-traction treads, side rails and rubber feet; replacement treads are sold separately (PetSafe)
• For vehicles up to 24 inches tall (PetSafe)

What reviewers say

Whole Dog Journal: A dog trainer tested it with their own dogs and named it the best ramp for smaller vehicles: light, sturdy and easy to fold. At 62 inches it is too steep for most full-size SUVs and trucks, it was slightly too steep for a Ford Bronco Sport side door, and the thin, sandpaper-like surface made dogs splay their toes going down at steep angles.

We did not test it ourselves.

Pros

• Light at 10 lb
• Folds and latches for the car
• Narrow enough for some side doors

Cons

• Too short for tall SUVs and trucks
• Harder, thinner tread than carpeted ramps, per Whole Dog Journal

Good to know

• Keep the incline gentle; Whole Dog Journal suggests 18 to 27 degrees.
• Teach your dog to use it on the ground first, as PetSafe’s guide describes.
• If your dog has trouble walking or jumping, ask your vet before relying on a ramp.
