The PAW5 Wooly Snuffle Mat is a fabric feeding mat with thick, grass-like strips. You sprinkle kibble or treats over it and your dog has to sniff and nose through the strips to find each piece.
Who it suits
Dogs that eat too fast, get bored indoors or need a calm activity on rainy days. It works for small to large dogs, as long as they forage rather than chew.
Key facts
- Measures 12 x 18 inches (Bustle)
- Cotton and polyester strips that mimic grass (Bustle)
- Machine washable (Pet Age)
- Woven in Thailand from leftover textile fabric (Pet Age)
What reviewers say
Bustle picked it for its soft, grass-like strips and said it stays in good shape after many washes, but noted the lack of a non-slip bottom. K9 of Mine liked how the dense fabric slows dogs down and makes them work, while pointing out the single color and higher cost.
Pros and cons
