Your Best Digs (2022) named it the best gate for cats: the lock worked consistently and the pet door and extra height make it useful in a home with cats, and it can work for dogs too. Cons: a narrow doorway, a lock that needs two hands when fully engaged, and bars that bowed more than other gates under stress, though not to a worrying degree. Its table lists a narrower width range than the current maker page, so check the size. We did not test it ourselves.
