What reviewers say
Canine Journal: Canine Journal’s Amanda tested more than 28 tug toys (guide first published January 2019, updated September 2023) and named the Goughnuts MaXX the best tug toy for large dogs, the only one the team felt confident would hold up to rough play. The tester found the smooth figure-eight easy to grip with a clenched fist and easy to drop at a moment’s notice, noted a mild rubber smell when new, and said it is too heavy for smaller dogs. The page does not say whether units were maker samples.
We did not test it ourselves.
