Cats.com: Katelynn Sobus built and tested it with her own cats for Cats.com (updated July 2025) and named it the best top entry pick. She found it easy to assemble and clean, said the top entry means most litter falls off a cat’s feet before it leaves and helps keep dogs out, and her cats figured it out. She said it is not a good choice for senior or disabled cats, and that it did not hold together well when moved around.

Good to know
